Paralegal and Notary Public Services
Hiring a lawyer to help you with your legal matter is not the only option. In Ontario, the provincial Law Society provides licensing to paralegals in order to create greater access to justice.
As a licensed paralegal I can help you with the following:
-
- Notarizing Documents
- Commissioning Documents
- Contract Review (ex. Lease Agreements, Employment Agreements, etc.)
Interested in getting some legal support but wanting to handle the matter on your own? Unbundled legal services may be all you need to get the outcome you are looking for.
What are “unbundled” legal services?
Unbundled legal services is a term used when a lawyer or a paralegal, by agreement with the client, provides legal services for part, but not all, of the client’s legal matter.
For example, a client may retain a paralegal to perform one of the following:
- Legal Research
- Legal Coaching
- Document Review
- Legal Opinion
- Commissioning of Documents
This type of service is also commonly referred to as a limited scope retainer, a la carte services or discrete task representation.
Professional Service Fees
My rates depend on the project and the amount of time it will take to complete. I try to stay flexible and work within my client’s budget. I can work with you through various fee structures such as hourly rate, and/or a flat rate. Rates will be agreed upon in writing before I start working, so no surprises when you get the final invoice!
